10 Things You Didn’t Know About Liveaboard Life
If you’ve recently been considering a liveaboard adventure, we understand you might have plenty of questions. Living on a boat, even for just a few days, is an exhilarating experience, but it’s quite different from your typical travels. We want you to know exactly what to expect before you set sail with us.
There are a lot of things people say and think about liveaboard life, but the reality of our specific experience may surprise you. That’s why, in this blog article, we’ve outlined some key facts about our liveaboard diving journeys. If you choose to join us, you’ll be well-prepared for what lies ahead.
1. Liveaboard Life Is a Great Chance to Make Friends

You’ll be able to discuss your favorite dive spots, future trips, and the amazing marine life you’ve encountered or hope to see.
However, just because you share a love for diving doesn’t mean you have to engage deeply with every diver. It’s perfectly fine to carve out some personal time to unwind and fully enjoy the liveaboard experience at your own pace.
2. Liveaboard Life Allows You to Save Money
Many people assume that liveaboard trips are expensive. However, if you run the numbers, you’ll find that our all-inclusive liveaboard experience can be on par with or even less expensive than regular trips you might take.
If you’re looking to make the most of your diving adventure, our liveaboard trips provide great value. You’ll enjoy more dives, explore off-the-beaten-path dive sites with stunning coral reefs, and experience the true essence of life on a boat.
3. Liveaboard Life Includes Activities Other Than Diving
While the primary reason for choosing our trips is likely the diving, there are a few other activities to enjoy as well. You can take a break from diving to swim, engage in underwater photography, visit some breathakng viewpoints and naturak parks, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings on the liveaboard boat.
That said, keep in mind that our itineraries are designedo with experienced divers in mind. Many of the dives feature moderate to strong currents and depths beyond 20 meters. We recommend having at least 50 logged dives, including previous experience with current diving, to ensure that you’re comfortable throughout the journey.
Given our dive-centric itinerary, we focus on sites chosen for optimal diving conditions. Unfortunately, this means that snorkeling may not be recommended due to the strong currents, which can limit the experience.
4. Seasickness on a Liveaboard Will Not Be a Problem
If you’re worried about seasickness during our liveaboard diving trip, there’s no need to be concerned. Many guests are pleasantly surprised by how quickly they adapt to the boat’s movement. Plus, when the interior feels a bit stuffy, it’s easy to step out onto the deck and enjoy the fresh sea air.
We strive to navigate through any rough waters at night while you’re sleeping, ensuring a smooth experience the following day, typically finding a calm spot to moor. Our crew is dedicated to keeping you comfortable and happy throughout the liveaboard journey!
If you tend to get seasick, consider preparing in advance. A motion sickness patch behind the ear works wonders for many people. You might also bring along motion sickness pills, ginger, ginger tea, or biscuits, which can be incredibly helpful if you normally handle boat rides well but want to be cautious.
