Malaillo measures 45 metres in length and 8.5 metres wide, accommodating 14 guests in 7 spacious double and twin cabins. The boat is crafted from gorgeous teak wood, harvested in Indonesia as boatmakers have been doing for centuries. This traditional style, juxtaposed with modern interiors and eco-conscious design, creates the perfect mix of heritage and comfort. For adventurous travellers who still value a bit of luxury, Malaillo’s indoor/outdoor living, including a dive deck, dining deck, and indoor lounge, is ideal.

Cabin Types

Malaillo offers 3 double cabins and 4 twin cabins, with 4 on the lower deck, 1 on the main deck, and 2 on the top deck. All cabins have natural light, individually controlled air-conditioning and a private en-suite bathroom. Whether you are travelling solo or with dive buddies, there are options for you.

Plenty of dark wood features, space for personal items, and interesting textiles make the cabin spaces cosy and enjoyable to spend time in.

Double Cabin

Double cabins measure 14m² and are located on the lower deck apart from one on the top deck. One comfy bed, space for guests to hang clothes and touches of Indonesian design create a cosy atmosphere. Air conditioning keeps the space cool, and an ensuite bathroom is a treat on a dive trip.

Twin Cabin

Twin cabins suit friends or family travelling together. Two comfy twin beds, space for belongings, and lovely local furnishings make it the perfect space to relax and get ready for another day of spectacular diving. Air conditioning and a spacious en-suite come as standard.

Master Suite

Malaillo’s one Master Suite is located on the top deck of the boat. Panoramic windows, a king-sized bed, and an upgraded bathroom make this cabin perfect for those looking for an upgraded experience. There is also a connected twin room that is ideal for families or groups travelling together. The Master Suite also connects directly to the dining room and is adjacent to the outside lounge area at the bow.

For evenings and non-dive moments, a spacious air-conditioned indoor lounge with an entertainment setup is available for all guests. There is also an alfresco dining deck for sunset meals where food is served most evenings and an indoor dining room for when the weather isn’t behaving.

Malaillo is one of the only liveaboards in Indonesia with a fully equipped dive deck. It offers a designated dive station for each guest, rinse tanks, gear setup, and compressors. Camera rinse and storage areas are provided, and Nitrox is available for certified divers.

Dining Experience

There will be no complaints about the food on Malaillo. A small early breakfast is served before the first dive of the day with a heartier one on return. Lunch, afternoon snacks, and dinner all feature freshly prepared local and international dishes including vegetarian and vegan options. Dinner is buffet style and there is a special barbecue night once per cruise.

Daily Schedule

A typical day on the boat starts at 6:15am with the wake up bell. The first dive will be at 6:45 followed by breakfast. Dive 2 is at 10:30 followed by lunch, and dive 3 is at 2:30pm followed by a snack. If there is a night dive it will be around 6pm followed by dinner and time to relax and socialise. The time between dives is yours to enjoy.

Crew & Service

Malaillo has a crew of 18 professionals to tend to a diver’s every need. You will never dive with less than 1 dive guide to every 4 divers and while you are diving, the crew are cooking, cleaning, and making sure everything is safe and running smoothly on the boat.
