Program
North Halmahera – Morotai
10 Nights /11 Days | Up to 34 Dives
Day 1
Embarkation: Guests embark at Ternate Harbor (TTE).
Upon boarding the ship, we will begin cruising toward Jailolo, time permitting. After the general boat and dive briefing, we’ll conduct a check dive at Tanjung Kailupa—a great wall dive combined with a sloping reef overgrown with gorgonians, sea fans, sponges, and Acropora corals.
Marine life: Blacktip reef sharks, turtles, cuttlefish, octopus, jackfish, and many anthias.
Day 2
Loloda Island (3 Dives).
Dive 1: Kahatola Channel
Located on the southwestern tip of Kahatola. A thrilling channel dive with strong currents, reef formations, and large boulders.
Marine life: Reef sharks, turtles, mantis shrimp, anthias, and damselfish.
Dive 2: Sidanga Passage
A beautiful drift dive with striking topography and resting areas during the drift. Excellent for observing schooling fish.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, snappers, batfish, turtles, and reef sharks.
Excursion: Visit Kahatola Waterfall
Night Dive
Day 3
Doi Island (4 Dives).
Dive 1: Jackpot
A long ridge with a healthy hard coral garden and abundant fish life.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, Napoleon wrasse, blacktip reef sharks, and rainbow runners.
Dive 2: Wonderwall
Starts on a sloping reef filled with yellow snappers, transitioning into a wall covered in soft corals and whip corals, with several caverns.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, Napoleon wrasse, turtles, tunas, and reef sharks.
Dive 3: Doi Channel (Exploration Dive)
Night Dive: Muka Kampung
A sloping reef with coral and sandy patches.
Marine life: Crustaceans, cuttlefish, and nudibranchs.
Day 4
Womow Seamount (4 Dives)
Dive 1: Womow Reef 1
A seamount rising to 7 m with steep drop-offs and a reef top full of hard corals and small schooling fish.
Marine life: Grey reef sharks, blacktip/whitetip reef sharks, tunas, giant trevallies, fusiliers, surgeonfish, and pyramid butterflyfish.
Dive 2: Womow Reef 2
Similar to Reef 1, with rich coral growth and comparable marine life.
Dive 3: Blacktip Point (Metita)
Primarily a shark dive, starting on sandy bottom around 15 m.
Marine life: Blacktip reef sharks, coral patches, and small channels to explore.
Night Dive: Metita House Reef
High chances of encountering walking sharks, crustaceans, and nudibranchs.
Day 5
Morotai (4 Dives)
Dive 1: Lopong Utara Shipwreck
A deep wreck (~45–50 m long), with the shallowest point at 30 m.
Marine life: Yellow snappers and batfish.
Dive 2: Karang Buho-Buho
A sunken reef rising to 5 m, sloping edges with lively fish action.
Marine life: Giant trevallies, Napoleon wrasse, blacktip/whitetip reef sharks.
Dive 3: Wamama Reef
Drift dive along a wall with caverns.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, snappers, turtles, and reef sharks.
Night Dive: Wamama Reef
Day 6
Morotai (4 Dives)
Dive 1: Bristol Plane Wreck
Explore WWII wreckage, including two Bristol Beaufort planes, jeeps, and tires on a sloping reef to 45–50 m.
Dive 2: Sagolo
Wall dive with caverns down to 40–50 m.
Marine life: Fusiliers, reef sharks, turtles, and Napoleon wrasse.
Dive 3: Kasar Wall
Great drift dive with a richly adorned wall.
Marine life: Turtles and reef sharks.
Night Dive: Jababeka
Sloping reef with sandy patches.
Marine life: Crustaceans, nudibranchs, cuttlefish, and potential walking sharks.
Day 7
Rao (4 Dives)
Dive 1: Tanjung Garam
Formations of rocks, canyons, and swim-throughs.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, jackfish, blacktip reef sharks, and eagle rays.
Dive 2: Batu Aru
Dramatic rock formations with walls and ledges.
Marine life: Surgeonfish, black snappers, fusiliers, and reef sharks.
Dive 3: Saminyamau
Gentle slope with hard coral gardens and schools of reef fish.
Night Dive: Saminyamau
Day 8
Kolorai (4 Dives)
Dive 1: The Canyon
One of the area’s highlights with impressive fish action.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, rainbow runners, trevallies, turtles, reef sharks, and eagle rays.
Dive 2: Sussie Wreck
A steel wreck (~18 m long) lying at an angle from 18 m to 32 m.
Marine life: Lionfish, and occasionally guitar sharks or mobula rays.
Dive 3: Kolorai Reef
Close to the canyon with a rich coral slope.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, pyramid butterflyfish, turtles, and reef sharks.
Night Dive: Kolorai Reef
Day 9
Metita (4 Dives)
Dive 1: Lighthouse
Hard coral garden on top, sloping reef with gorgonians and sponges.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, turtles, and reef sharks.
Dive 2: Deep Corner
Colorful hard corals on the top and steep slope covered in soft corals.
Marine life: Fusiliers, turtles, and reef sharks.
Dive 3: Om Karibo
Pristine coral garden with excellent marine biodiversity.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, crocodile fish, and reef sharks.
Night Dive: Metita House Reef
Day 10
Dagasuli / Doi (2 Dives)
Dive 1: The Boulders
Two or three large boulders rising to 7 m.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, and blacktip reef sharks.
Dive 2: Lama
Large boulder with colorful reef and active marine life.
Marine life: Fusiliers, surgeonfish, blacktip reef sharks, sweetlips, and occasionally nurse sharks.
Day 10
Disembarkation
Disembark from Malaillo by 10:00 AM at the latest, followed by transfer to Ternate airport or your selected hotel in the city.
This itinerary is a sample and may be adjusted based on weather conditions, local regulations, or other operational considerations. The final route, timing, and selected activities are at the discretion of the Captain and Cruise Director, who will always prioritize guest safety and strive to provide the best possible experience throughout the trip.
